Mani Diba visits Institute of Biomaterials in Erlangen

On 07 July 2026, Dr. Mani Diba visited the Institute of Biomaterials at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) at the invitation of Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini. He presented a seminar entitled "Biomaterial Design Across Scales: From Molecular Interactions to Bioengineered Platforms" in the Materials Science Colloquium, and as part of the seminar series of the Collaborative Research Center "From the fundamentals of biofabrication towards functional tissue models" (CRC/TRR 225). The talk traced hydrogel design from molecular interactions to network-level properties, cell adhesion, and biomimetic mineralization. Dr. Diba also met students of the Advanced Materials and Processes (MAP) program, where he completed his own master's degree, and explored future collaborations with Prof. Boccaccini. We thank our hosts in Erlangen for their warm welcome and a stimulating discussion.
