Doctoral thesis success: Ceri-Anne Suurmond

On 06 July 2026, Ceri-Anne Suurmond successfully defended her PhD thesis, entitled "From Bench to Bone: Novel Bone Metastasis Models for Evaluation of Bifunctional Biomaterials," at the Aula of Radboud University in Nijmegen. Her research developed novel models of bone metastasis to evaluate bifunctional biomaterials for treating this disease. Ceri-Anne was supervised by Prof. Sander Leeuwenburgh, Assoc. Prof. Jeroen van den Beucken, and Asst. Prof. Mani Diba. Ceri-Anne has joined Kuros Biosciences as a Medical Science Liaison.
