Dr. Mani Diba received a Vidi grant from the Dutch Research Council (NWO) for the DYNAVIVO project.
The Vidi grant, part of NWO’s Talent Programme, is a personal award designed to support experienced researchers in initiating or expanding an independent line of research.
DYNAVIVO is specifically supported by NWO’s Applied and Engineering Sciences (AES) domain, which promotes technical-scientific research with direct applications and impact for people and society.
In DYNAVIVO, our lab will leverage and expand our expertise in dynamic biomaterials and bone-on-chip systems to develop a new in vitro platform with real-time control over cellular confinement. This five-year project (€1.25 M) will strengthen our research line in advanced bone tissue modelling while establishing new capabilities in high-throughput in vitro systems. We are particularly grateful to our four non-academic partners (Charles River Laboratories, Kuros BioSciences, AZAR Innovations, and the Smart BioMaterials Consortium) for their contributions, which significantly enhance the project’s translational impact.
We look forward to working with our collaborators in the coming years to advance this exciting research!
